Week 26: Final days of summer

Sophia tried barley cereal this week and ended up with more on her face than in her belly. It is actually more bland than the rice cereal and turns a strange purple color when you leave it out..

After baby yoga on Tuesday, we played outside. Layla is now tripoding. She is exactly one month younger than the Sophie Boo and has so much more hair.

Tuesday's concert in the park was a chilly blast. Is summer ending already that I need a jacket? Nick is imitating Sophia who has been sticking out her little tongue since last week. Now she is playing with her new tooth.

There is no mistaking which twin looks like her Daddy and who looks like her mommy.

The Dads with their babies - all the moms decided to run away! Riley is so fast, she's blurry!

The Dads encouraging the babies to socialize- I am going to eat you says Sydney to Sophia Boo.

Layla looking very sporty in her sweatshirt.

Group picture at what may be our final concert of the summer.

On Wednesdays I have been doing Stroller strides all summer, which is an excercise group for moms. Then we go walking in town with other moms. Here we are back from our walk and resting at Balduccis.

Another happy day of playing on Thursday. After finding Sophia can move quickly across the room by rolling, I have sectioned off part of the family room so she can play freely.

By the end of the week, she started to like barley cereal much better.

Is Sophia trapped under the blanket? No, just playing peek-a-sophie-boo.

Friday's playgroup was at Ana's house for our final pool party of the summer and Randie's last Friday before heading back to work.

Noa just got her helmet painted and it looks adorable. She looks very sporty and ready for action, while Sophie and Leah are lounging..

Yana was on the end of this picture because no one wanted to stand next to her skinny 25 yr old body. Sophie had on her one piece granny suit and was happy for the most part.

Sophia was a little apprehensive about Maddie's float at first, she soon warmed up to it.

Sophia passed out soon after drying off.
Best of luck to Randie and Leah (at work and daycare) -- we will miss them dearly!
There was a lot of drama in getting this cake -the store gave me the e-mail address of the wrong store to send the picture, and that store wouldn't accept an e-mailed picture, so I printed the picture, but then I realized the wrong store had my order and right store had my picture but not my order. Finally I got the cake, but Randie's head was chopped off. At least it tasted good!

Randie's speech was sweet and sad - we will miss her company, but we are going to plan Saturday events and ladies night out during the week.

It is Saturday and Sophie gets to see her Daddy during the day, yeah! This picture was taken just before a diaper explosion, where Nick conveniently had to leave to run errands...

We visited Simon for his block party with Pete's band. The tunes and food were excellent, we had a great time.

Enjoying a fun Sunday at home after church. Another week has passed so quickly.. and summer is almost over.
