Week 17: Baptism and First swim

We went to a baby massage class on Tuesday and Sophia really liked it, especially massaging her back in this position.

On Wed. Sophia had her 4 month shots. She cried much less than at her 2 month shots and a lot less than when it is time to go to sleep at night!

On Thursday, we stayed home and played after pilates and shopping for Sophia's Christening gown.

Friday's playgroup was at Ana's house. Sophia had her first swim in a pool. She didn't love it, but didn't hate it either.

Grandpa Rich came to visit this weekend for the baptism-- all the way from the UK where he is doing some consulting work. His girlfriend Babbie was here as well. She is an OB nurse and has 6 kids, so it was great to talk babies with Babbie.

Happy Christening sweet baby Sophia!
On Sunday morning, we got ready for the baptism and Nick was a little phaclempt when he saw her in her all dressed in white for her first of many special occassions.

Sophia's godparents are John and Johanna, from our old church in Mamaroneck. Their son, Paul, is our godson, so him and Sophia are godsiblings!

It was a great day of celebration with many friends and family. Luckily we had a tent up to keep out of the rain. The food and cake was done by Nick's cousin Annmarie- so good!
