Week 51: Happy Valentine's Day & B'day Babies

The phone is such a classic toy. She just loves it, even though they don't even make phones like this anymore.

Sophia's favorite toy (this week) was her socks. She loves to pull them off in the car or in the hair chair and just wave them all around.

It is so fun to watch her play for real now. She is stacking blocks now and doesn't just put them in her mouth.Sophia started making this pouty face this week , which is funny because Nick does it all the time.

The girls left the babies at home Thurs night for bookclub. We were all overdue for a night out!

Sophia received this toy for Christmas from her Grandma and just this week decided it was safe to put the ball through the opening. Go Sophie!

When in doubt on what to do on a Friday afternoon, go to the mall. We all met for lunch before heading over to Gymboree. Maddie was talking to Sophie in Spanish in this pic, which is why she looks perplexed.

Sophia is still a little hesitant on the equipment at Gymboree, but was happy to play with her friends.

Happy First Valentine's Day everyone! We celebrated by letting mommy (me) go get her hair done and then we had cards and presents. I got the best treadmill ever and I am so happy that I can squeeze in a workout during naps.

And then we went back to Jumpin Jakes for another birthday party. Sophia was more comfortable this time and played with the baby toys and Roxanne.

Happy First Birthday babies! Our playgroup had a big group birthday party on Sunday and we had a great time. ...

playing with the ride-on big kids toys,

singing songs with Ms. Ana,

taking group pictures,

eating lots of yummy food like spinach rolls and ziti (my child is definitely Italian)

playing pin the tail on the animal (Sophie got very tired and put hers upside down; otherwise, she would have nailed it),

enjoying our birthday hats,

opening a birthday present (thanks Leah),

and of course eating delicious cupcakes (Daddy got a little dirty at this point)!

and playing some more.. thanks everyone at playgroup for a wonderful year together. I am so fortunate to have met such great friends. I hope our babies want to play together until they are 20 something and then we can marry them off..
