Week 37: Standing and Waving

For a few weeks now, every time I go to check on Sophia sleeping she is on her knees with her butt in the air- how is this even comfortable? The funniest part is that she doesn't even crawl on her knees yet (except for that one morning and then she forgot) - she drags her legs across the room commando style.

At mom's group on Monday, Sophia pooped all over the place -on me, herself and the floor. Amy was nice enough to lend Sophia clothes to wear home, but I smelled like poop all the way home...

Sophia has a new sippy cup - it's called "The Jug."

At the park on election day, she can't wait to vote!

Sophia waves all the time now. .Sometimes for no reason, but usually at someone...

Spending time with Daddy after work, life doesn't get much better than this!

This is my view while holding her in the carrier. She is so cute eating her puffs.

We went to the mall on Wed and played in the kids area for the first time. Just we have been looking for - the walls are completely padded and there is a turtle in the middle to crawl on and a big mirror to laugh at herself in.

Sophia has a new favorite toy that she can use to practice standing. She is getting good at standing on her own, although she falls down every so often.

We picked up a new sippy cup that has a hole in the middle- just like a bagel. She has not figured it out yet and keeps it upside down. Sophia also got tooth #5 on Thursday!

On Friday we went to a music class demo and Sophia was very serious about it. She had her avocado shaker and then gathered the pepper and zucchini. If she could take them all, she would have. Although she was scared of the big drum at first, by the end she loosened up and loved it.

We had play group at Ana's house on Friday and said good bye to Yana's mom, who is returning to Russia -she has been a great helper and sweetheart to us all the past few months.

Sophia is so happy when Daddy is home. She has to have him in her sight - here she is peaking around the refrigerator to find him.

On Saturday we had friends come over for a dinner party and Sophia slept through all the noise and laughter. On Sunday we had a nice family day at home. .

I love how in the video of her eating her puff you can hear the "crunch, crunch, crunch" with her little teeth! So cute!! Rylee is jealous of those pearly whites ;)
